The Washington School Counselor Association is soliciting proposals for presentations promoting evidence-based programs in the domains of academic achievement, emotional growth, social development, career exploration, and post secondary planning. Presentations showcase best practices, current research, or skills of value to counselors, pre-K to postsecondary, as well as district personnel, graduate students and counselor educators.
Proposals of a political, marketing or for-profit nature will NOT be accepted.
The conference theme is Courage. Commitment. Community. Expanding Our Voice Through SB5030. Presentations on that topic are welcome and requested!
Must Submit Your Vitae/Resume: In addition to filling out and submitting the form below, applicants are REQUIRED to submit a PDF of their vitae or resume, which includes their degree, educational training, certifications and licenses.

Notice regarding proposal acceptance will be sent via e-mail by mid January 2022.
All communications regarding your breakout session will come to you directly, and you will be responsible for sharing it with a co-presenter (if any).
Breakout Session Presenters (up to three people per breakout session – 1 Lead Presenter and 2 Co-Presenters):
This is approximately 40% off the normal conference registration rates. If you are approved, you will be emailed a link to the special Registration Portal for Approved Presenters.
If you and/or your Co-Presenter(s), if any, plan to present the breakout session and then leave, there will be no registration fee. By not registering, you will not be given a name badge, program manual or tote bag, and will not be able to participate in any other sessions or meal functions at the Conference.

The Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Seattle, the Conference’s host hotel, has a conference rate of $169 a night for single & double occupancy. This rate is good on reservations made by January 27, 2022. Rooms are limited, and may fill up before January 27th cutoff.
TO MAKE HOTEL RESERVATIONS:
Parking:
Overnight Parking will be added to the guestroom charges at $12.00 plus taxes per night and keys will be programmed upon check in to go in and out of the parking gates. ON the last departure, hold on to your key, swipe through the gate and deposit in a deposit box at the gate.
Local Parking (no guestroom): Guests will pull a ticket at the gate upon arrival. Guests will then need to bring parking ticket with them to registration to stamp it in order to receive discount. A parking machine set up will be near registration. Guests insert the ticket to stamp it for discount and pay upon departure. Rate is $12.00 plus taxes.
